Last week, from 8 to 11 May, the 2018 Alimentaria Foodtech trade show was held in Barcelona. Equipment, ingredients and food industry manufacturers were able to meet up for 4 days in order to present their latest innovations.
Nactis Flavours was present with its key Spanish distributors. The culinary tastings presented on the Nactis Flavours stand were very popular with all the visitors, chiefly from Spain, but also Portugal and South America.
‘CLEAN LABEL’, NATURALNESS AND HEALTH ON THE PROGRAMME
FOR RICHLY FLAVOURED CRISPS WITH NO TASTE-ENHANCING AGENTS!
Visitors enjoyed tasting the ‘Liebex Umami’ range in the form of crisps, with flavours that pleasantly replace glutamate with a ‘clean’ label. Two seasoning flavours were highlighted: Sarladaise (garlic, herbs, butter) and Fajitas to measure the taste effect of Liebex Umami 100, 200 and Natural.
These flavours or natural flavours bring a taste of stock that ‘boosts’ the taste of the spices and seasoning for use on crisps, but also meat or even soups.
LOW-SUGAR BISCUITS
The latest innovation in sugar reduction was naturally at the forefront. The flavourists proposed biscuits with 30% less sugar, keeping all their great taste with the new ‘brown sugar’ natural flavour, and a natural flavouring with dulche de leche. This taste is particularly appreciated by the Spanish and was echoed very positively by trade show visitors.
An Organic biscuit was also presented, with a natural Oganic blackcurrant-eucalyptus flavour. Other combinations are available.
